IntroductionToday, a sound knowledge of Taxation is far more beneficial than traditional studies of Tax Legislation. In-put materials given and questions discussed will elaborate, in particular, a broad cultural and humanistic vision while, at the same time, creating an awareness of social relations and policies in strategic fields where companies operate. This is especially relevant due to the enlargement of the European Union and Globalisation.
ObjectivesFinancial:
• Estudar as capacidades tributárias, com apreciação das cargas fiscal e parafiscal suportada pelas várias categorias de contribuintes, tendo em conta os quantitativos e as espécies de matérias colectáveis e os limites de aceitação de cada categoria tributária.
• To study taxation capacities with an awareness of direct tax and indirect tax liabilities borne by the various professional categories of tax payers while taking into account quantitative entries, other types of collective entries and the deadlines for each taxable category.
Economic and Social:
• To deepen and integrate the fundamental knowledge of economics, accounting, finance and law to obtain a common Culture of Taxation
• To integrate Taxation in the dominion of Strategic Management of Organisations, both private and public, to optimise the decision-making process, productivity and competitive advantage
• To train researchers, professors and tax consultants and endow them with multi-disciplinary skills and knowledge of organisations, culture and social consciousness. In addition, to be motivated towards modernisation and development.
