Introduction

The administration of Distribution Networks has been the object of true strategic and behavioural revolution which has resulted, not only, from a vision of cross- functional chains of supply, but also, from new and sound technical knowledge.

These competencies are becoming increasingly more important and critical for the competitiveness of businesses due to the challenges posed by: the changing demands of consumers, exigencies for a wider selection of goods with added value, the demands of the globalisation of operations, increasingly aggressive competition and by the turbulent nature of new markets.

These developments have, therefore, resulted in the increase in demand for qualified and competent managers in the area of the supply chain of all sectors of the economy, be it public or private, industries, services or distribution.

Objectives

To provide executives of the sector or top management of organisations with a set of competencies and a body of knowledge to become experts in the areas of transportation/Shipment logistics with special focus on the following aspects:

•Components and function of the chain of distribution

•Organisation of the chain of distribution and the related principal processes

•The role of the chain of distribution in an organisation and it relevance in the context of International competitiveness.

Access

Company Owners, top Directors, Executives and Graduates who want to obtain competencies in specific areas of Logistics.
