The world is in a permanent and accelerated (process of) change. Instituto Superior de Gestão has been keeping up with this rhythm for over three decades, interpreting the change and adapting to it constantly. ISG has a position based on its quality of education which is proven by the prestige of our degrees in the market.

The objective of higher education, more than technical and scientific training for students, is to form (build) good citizens, whose behaviour in society is guided by high values and principles.  Neither universities nor polytechnic institutes should (seperate) this vital function in Portuguese society.
      
With an offer that is focused on dominating in economic and business (corporate) sciences at the level of the first and second cycles (Graduation and Masters), ISG has core values of pedagogic exigence and strict scientific methodology in the transmission of knowledge and its application in the labour market. I preside over the construction of the structures of the cycles of higher education and the content of the core courses, with a criteria of relevance and constant updating, according to my experience in higher education, to the needs of the market and the necessary international comparisons, now that mobility of students and teachers are commended under the Bologna Process.

Academic life is an important landmark in life's journey. Apart from the knowledge acquired and the skills developed,  one learns to innovate and adapt, and just as determinant are the friendships formed and the spirit of solidarity among colleagues. A University, apart for being a space for teaching and learning, should be a space for socialisation.

The values of citizenship and social responsibility preside over the development of scientific and pedagogic methodology at ISG. We would like our students to grow in our school and keep growing through out their lives.
