EILC - Erasmus Intensive Language Course

The Erasmus students have the possibility to study the Portuguese Language at ISG. The EILC (Erasmus Intensive Language Course) takes place between the 15th of January 2009 and the 13th of February 2009.

The EILC is much more than a foreign language course, it is the entrance gate into the Portuguese Culture.

The process of learning the Portuguese language in our modern language laboratories will become alive, whilst visiting different monuments and strolling leisurely through the most significant museums.

Different and pleasurable entertainment programmes will eventually foster ties of friendship among all participants, making of the EILC an unforgettable and unique multicultural experience.

Several workshops may be attended, from photography to drawing, over serigraphy and cooking, offering plenty of opportunities for students to get together in an academic, cultural and social environment.

Target group

Students who have been selected for an Erasmus study/placement period in the LLP/Erasmus programme in the academic year 2008-2009 in Portugal.

Course aim

This course helps to develop the basic skills and strategies necessary to successfully handle oral and written communication. These will become necessary in a variety of social situations you can encounter in daily life in Portugal. The course also provides activities related to the Portuguese Culture.
