Host country formalities

All non-EU students must have a visa to stay in Portugal and must also inform the Foreign Office Services (Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras) of the length of their stay.

Useful Information for LLP/Erasmus Exchange Students

What to send before your departure:

  • The ERASMUS Application Form fully completed;
  • Your Transcript of Records;
  • Learning Agreement (List of subjects you wish to attend at ISG) signed and stamped by the home university;
  • Academic Curriculum;
  • European Health Insurance Card
  • Health Insurance – For non EU Students

What you must bring with you:

  • Letter of Acceptance;
  • Accommodation address;
  • Two Passport Photos;
  • Passport or National ID;
  • European Health Insurance Card – for EU students;
  • Visa (when necessary);
  • Some Euros for initial needs

On arrival at the Instituto Superior de Gestão, please contact the GRIE – International Relations, Career & Entrepreneurship Office.

Enrolment Procedures

Administrative Procedures
The students who would like to attend the Instituto Superior de Gestão within EU Programmes should contact GRIE – International Relations, Career & Entrepreneurship Office and send his/her Application Form to it.
Deadlines

  • 1st July for the first semester;
  • 1st November for the second semester.

Registration at the University

Following steps:

  • Reception at the GRIE – International Relations, Career & Entrepreneurship Office ;
  • Meeting with the Head of the Department in order to decide/confirm the programme of studies to follow during the Academic Year at ISG | Instituto Superior de Gestão;
  • Return to the GRIE – International Relations, Career & Entrepreneurship Office in order to finish the registration

Please notice that the registration is compulsory

Language Requirements

All courses are taught in Portuguese. To provide students with adequate language skills, ISG | Instituto Superior de Gestão organises, every Semester:

  • Intensive Language Preparation Courses one at the beginning of the first Semester and one at the beginning of the second Semester;

Foreign students who wish to attend a language course during their stay should state it in their application form, since there are specific language courses for foreign students.

Grading System

At ISG | Instituto Superior de Gestão the marks are given on a scale from 0 to 20. This means that you pass with grade 10.
