The European Elections

In less than 100 days, European citizens will be asked to cast their vote and decide what’s next for Europe.
The European elections, held between 23 and 26 May, will shape the European Union for the years to come.
At the European Commission, we are doing our best to reach out to as many people as possible in order for them to be able to make an informed decision. But in order to reach every single European, we need all those with Europe at heart to join us.
The Commission has prepared the following message:
“What if we told you that in less than 100 days, you have the power to shape the future?
The European Elections will be held this May. This important election will determine the direction of our society, affecting your life and that of generations to come.
People all over Europe are encouraging friends and family to get out and vote. What about you? Are you one of the thousands of people engaging on www.thistimeimvoting.eu? If not, please join the conversation, we would love to hear your voice. But more than this, you can encourage others to make their voices heard, in doing so, you will be making history and strengthening our democracy.
Young people all across Europe have come forward and talked about how the European Union has helped them reach their full potential. Perhaps you can relate to some of the stories at europa.eu/euandme? Please share these stories, better still, share your own story and encourage your friends to do the same.
Through your participation in EU initiatives, you have already taken steps to strengthen the European Union, this May you will have the opportunity to strengthen our future.
